Growing up, I worked for my dad who is self-employed and learned a lot about being an entrepreneur from him. He always listened to my ideas to improve his business and validated my own entrepreneurial spirit. After working with my dad for 8 years, I decided I needed a change and went to work for a company in Murray, UT. I wasn't there long before I realized I didn't want to work for others my whole life and that for me to be happy, I needed to be doing something I am passionate about.
I started PicktureThat! because I LOVE photos and I LOVE people and I want to keep both with me at all times. It makes me happy to be able to look down at my bracelet and see all the people who matter most to me in the world. Especially since some of them live all the way across the country.
I also love to make the world a better place for others and I believe in lending a helping hand, so from the beginning of my business idea, I knew that I had to give back to those less fortunate than myself. If I live a happy life, I believe I owe it to others to share some of that happiness.
When I'm not making your bracelet (and wishing I knew the story behind it), you can find me in the great outdoors—swimming at the lake, snowboarding, camping—or hanging out with my family and friends; the people who make my life worthwhile.
